If your 911 is running solid or semi-solid engine and transmission mounts our Zero Clearance Shift Coupler definitely deserves your consideration. We assemble these with our strong billet aluminum housing and machined Delrin bushings with Round cross-pin bores that don’t allow for any clearance in the fore-aft direction like the stock-type coupler bushings. These couplers only offer a very small amount of NVH isolation due to the very small amount of compliance and damping from the Delrin material itself. These bushings are harder (less compressable) and more lubricious than most all of the polyurethane and polygraphite bushings out there. They are machined from bars and not molded so we can hold much tighter tolerances than the molded poly. They also have very low moisture absorption, don’t suffer from stick-slip and wear like iron. Not as harsh as U-joint type couplers, these may also be a great “band-aid” when all of the rest of the bushings in the linkage are bagged out and time or interest doesn’t allow for a complete rebuild.
