A K-27 Turbocharger is a great upgrade for any 1976 – 1992 911 Turbo. However, for the ’78 -89 3.3L cars in particular, this is far from a “just bolt it on and go” operation. The K-27 is made with a hose and clamp boost outlet which won’t interface with the o-ringed boost pipe to the intercooler. So what to do? You could hack-off the lower part of the boost pipe and try to find a hose to make the connection. This might work, but it certainly doesn’t maintain the stock appearance of your engine bay and it may be unreliable. OR… you can modify the boost outlet of the K-27 with our spiffy little adaptor kit to replicate the original K-26 outlet the car came with and maintain the original factory appearance of your engine compartment and the reliability of the factory o-ring boost pipe connections. Detailed instructions are included.
