Symmetrical Tooth Point, Two Slots in Hub, These synchro hubs or “dog rings” feature our exclusive differential heat-treatment process which produces very hard and wear resistant engagement teeth with somewhat softer internal splines to help protect and extend the life of your expensive free gear nose. Manufactured by us right here in Colorado from only the finest domestically produced alloy steel. The factory never sold these as seperate parts and most all of the so-called “original manufacturer” or “o.e.m.” parts out there are actually made in Taiwan and re-labeled as “Made in Germany”. These gear teeth are for use in 5-speed transmissions only. For 1st gear synchro hubs in 4-speed transmissions, please use our part number (sku) 901.302.241.04. 1st-gear in a 4-speed trans turns in the opposite direction of 1st-gear in a 5-speed trans. and the proper angled slot for a4-speed is the mirror-image of a 5-speed.
