Engineered and manufactured to provide superior performance over the original equipment, our Turbocharger Oil Feed Check Valves are finely crafted from stainless steel for a lifetime of trouble-free service. This is an important distinction when compared to the original equipment check valves which are primarily made of carbon steel and are highly subject to internal corrosion. Even the smallest rust pit in a check valve’s ball or seat will allow fluid to leak past and render the valve useless. While the majority of corrosives in motor oil are aspirated water and the acids it forms in combination with byproducts of combustion, we have seen brand new original equipment check valves with rusty balls and seats simply from being stored in a humid environment. Stainless steel is definitely the material of choice for this application. Yes, it is more expensive and harder to work with than carbon steel but isn’t a much higher quality longer-lasting part worth a few bucks more?
